We are finishing up our stay at the beach and headed home to Atlanta today.  We got a lot done and if you think this was a vacation....well it didn't feel like it:) There was about 2 days where I just sat on my butt.....the 31st and the 1st.  I can blame myself a little..... that curse of not being able to relax! Anybody else like that? I happened to be looking over at a brown cabinet under the TV and decided that it needed to be white.  I had already taken the doors off and tried to accessorize a little but just wasn't feeling it. Here is the outcome....followed by the before pictures! After..... Now let me show you why I did it! The waaaaaay before....... Doors off....attempt at talking myself out of painting it:) Nope....just not feeling it!  It took 4 coats.....crikey.   I was definitely re-thinking my decision. So much better! I found most of the stuff at Target, Home...

BEFORE AND AFTER

You know how it goes.....sometimes you awaken the inner designer in someone! If you have been reading my blog for a while then you might remember how I helped my friend Angie makeover a rental house back in 2011.   But first....holy hell.... yes this month marks my 8th year of blogging. Ahem......can you even believe it?  I mean we were still using flip phones back then I think. #darkages Anyway....back to my friend Angie. Starting here  ,    here   and here    she totally gutted and made over a little bungalow for rental in Atlanta.  The catch is.... drumroll ......she bought everything on Craigslist.  Everything. Appliances,  cabinets, lights and all the furniture. Well after another year long trip around the world she and her husband moved to Henderson, NC and are at it again....[without me] and I would say she is a quick learner. BEFORE AND AFTER KITCHEN

It's hell getting old.   The other day while I was out shopping for a client......  I had to pee so badly. Since I was right near my house I decided to just go home to a clean [somewhat clean] bathroom. As I turned down my street I took a sip of my Starbucks and it went down the wrong way....came out my nose....spilled all over my white shirt....and I started coughing so hard I peed in my pants. Needless to say that little stop at home lasted somewhat longer than I planned since I had to change clothes. Like I said..... Have I mentioned how excited I am to have a project out in Southern Homes right now? I loved working on this renovation with my favorite builder....Michael Ladisic and project manager Jennifer Tate was incredible and so helpful. The client was a bright star....so easy to work with....we became fast friends. I have posted a little during this project a couple of years ago but today I can show you some images I...
